The American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 Competition "Portuguese: my present, my future|Português meu presente, meu futuro.":

The judges selected the works according to the following categories:

 

1. Undergraduate/College students (video competition): 18 years old and higher.

 

FIRST PLACE: Trivan Menezes (Princeton University)

SECOND PLACE: Benjamin Sawyers (University of Arkansas)

THIRD PLACE: Nayeli Perez and Tyler Costello (University of Arkansas)

 

2. Middle and High School (video competition): students: from 11 to 17 years old.

 

FIRST PLACE: Andres Espinoza (Downtown Doral Charter Upper School)

SECOND PLACE: Carina Mariaca (Ronald Reagan Senior High School)

THIRD PLACE: Marco Barreirinhas (Miami Beach Senior High School)

 

3. Community and Elementary Schools (poster competition): students from 6 to 10 years old.
